Missing home lately or curious to try something Filipino? 🇵🇭🥘 Meet Chicken Adobo! The national dish of the Philippines. Juicy chicken slow braised in a rich, garlicky soy vinegar sauce and paired perfectly with fluffy rice. Shop everything you need at Green Village Poultry, @marketplacefresh and Dandenong Grocery Market and bring this comforting classic to your table. Ingredients: 1 kg chicken (mixed parts – thighs, drumsticks, breast) ½ cup soy sauce ½ cup vinegar 1 cup water 1 onion, sliced 6 garlic cloves, crushed 2 bay leaves 1 tsp peppercorns 1 tbsp oil 🍯 Optional: 1–2 tsp sugar (for a sweeter adobo) Instructions: Step 1: Heat oil in a pot. Sauté garlic and onion until fragrant. Step 2: Add chicken and sear until lightly browned. Step 3: Pour in soy sauce, vinegar, and water. Add bay leaves and peppercorns. Step 4: Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30–40 mins until chicken is tender and sauce is rich.
